Couple of weeks worth of photos just recently uploaded. Hope you enjoy. I also will be posting some more from my history in a little while 🙂 But in the mean time enjoy these. Here is one of my favorites in the bunch.

Today was the first time the whole family went to church. Michelle asked if I thought she would be fine and I said sure so we all took off. Morgan slept through about three quarters of the service but when she did get up she enjoyed the video screens and the lights. She was great though and never cried once. As Michelle put it here’s a really good family shot of everyone, oh but of course with out you honey 😉

Yeah the last one didn’t last long. If you are around in the next half hour or so it may look a little odd as I try out some new things. Just bear with me and come back a little later and enjoy the final product 🙂

I have always enjoyed photography thanks to my Dad. Photography was very much his hobby and love as I grew up. I didn’t think much of it at the time except to try and impress him just like my short lived baseball career, but with two children of my own as well as the simple and plain fact of, there is so much beauty in the world, I have recently become more and more interested. Trying to capture those precious moments is key because our time is very limited. And for that very moment in time if that shot is not captured it is gone forever. Sure you can remember it, but you won’t remember it forever or remember all the details you can capture. Plus with my memory, I need proof 🙂
As my space on my web server continued to dwindle with all the pictures I was taking with Matthew and the upcoming arrival of Morgan, I knew I had to make a change. I have always been reluctant to put my pics up on a pro server, because quite frankly I just don’t have the goods. I get lucky at times with my point and shoot, but they still aren’t great. That being said, Angie again was the muse for using Flickr. I searched and wanted to use a popular site so that I could take advantage of all the add ons that comes along with it. That being said, I uploaded my pics from Gallery to Flickr with ease and didn’t pay much attention to it otherwise, but recently I have been obsessed with it. It is utterly amazing some of the shots that are there. Any free time I seem to have is spent looking through the interesting photos for the day or month. And to be honest not only am I enjoying them, it is really reaffirming my belief that all is not lost. There is so much beauty in this world, we don’t need to concentrate on the horrible things. I will be the first to tell you, I don’t watch the news. What’s the point. Everything you see on there is filled with violence and despair. It does nothing but dumb you down and draw out the pessimist in anyone. I mostly will watch SportsCenter, but being a Philly fan, even that can be depressing 😉
All this being said, it is wonderful to see so many talented photographers as well as such beauty alive and well in the world. Here are a few of my favorites I have found.

Hope you enjoy as much as I have!

The first of a series of a couple posts to try and catch up 🙂
Background: My office is located in a complex that has two buildings and connecting the two buildings is a glass “tunnel” like hallway. The cafeteria is in building two and we are in building one. So on days where I eat at the office I walk to building two and either grab lunch or eat over there.
So the other day I was bringing lunch back to the office because our lunch room is much quieter than the main lunch room in building two and I saw this flash outside. Turns out it was a chipmunk. I barely saw enough of him before he dashed into a bush but it definitely was a chipmunk. Kind of funny, you never see many chipmunks.
So anyway, that night at dinner I remembered and told Michelle and Matthew “Guess what I saw today?” I proceeded to tell them the story and Matthew gets this big smile on his face and says “Which one was it?” “Which one what?” I said. And he repeated himself and said “Alvin, Simon, or Theodore?” Michelle and I couldn’t stop laughing. I tried to let him know it wasn’t a cartoon chipmunk it was a real one, but it didn’t work to well 🙂 For the next 5 minutes it was “Daddy, come on which one was it?” Classic Matthew.
